Description
ISP Technologies introduces the ultimate in high performance, High-SPL and High Fidelity mobile sound-reinforcement systems: the “Concert Series”. You know the excitement of a live concert; the sound is high impact with huge amounts of power and extremely high SPL! Now you can have that same level of performance with high power, high SPL and amazing fidelity for any performance.

ISP Technologies new Concert Series includes the novel, high performance Tripower Reference top box, a high output dual 15 low mid trap cabinet, and the XMAX subwoofers configured to be used as both 4-way and 5-way full Active Systems. The new high performance Concert Series systems offer sound reinforcement specifically designed to provide concert level SPL and high impact performance for venues with 500 to 2000 seats. Most systems designed for this level of performance, when driven even close to their limits, simply fall apart in the midrange portion of the spectrum. Virtually all of the systems designed for this size venue lack the deep powerful high impact bass required to reproduce a live kick drum and bass guitar and simply don’t deliver in the critical midrange frequency response from 400Hz up to 1.5KHz. The typical system uses a large format compression driver designed to cover frequencies from about 1KHz to 20KHz.

The common problem is while the large format compression driver can deliver extreme SPL up to about 8KHz it seriously drops off in level above this frequency. These systems will typically apply high frequency equalization to boost the output level above 8KHz. The result is the compression driver starts ringing which generates audible intermodulation distortion. The sonic result is a gross degradation in fidelity, definition, and a general sound that’s typically shrill and not very distinct. The new Concert Series sound reinforcement systems from ISP Technologies offer a number of options for different venue sizes and SPL with the highest level of fidelity available and devoid of the above described problems.

The new ISP Concert Series systems will outperform systems costing more than three or four times the cost and provide a fidelity, definition, and transient response previously unavailable at this price. The Tripower Reference offers outstanding high fidelity, high resolution, and high output sound. With 134dB peak SPL at 1 meter and a balanced spectral output, the Tripower Reference will become the new standard of speaker to which others aspire. The high-current 1100-watt RMS tri-amplifier uses the patent pending D-CAT™ power amplifier technology, and has 4th order electronic crossovers built-in, plus time alignment and phase correction.

The high fidelity and high resolution of the Reference is achieved by a unique design whereby all drivers operate in their range of pistonic motion free from cone and diaphragm breakup, which plagues virtually all other designs. Designed for use with the XMAX subs, the upper bass and lower mids are handled by two 12-inch cast basket drivers with 4-inch edgewound voice coils and Kevlar impregnated cones, giving 1100 watts of continuous power capacity. A massive 4-inch, ferrofluid cooled voice coil compression driver with embossed titanium diaphragm takes care of the mids and is crossed over before breakup occurs. By using a high SPL, high performance 4-inch compression driver crossed over specifically within the frequency band where its output is ruler flat means the Reference maintains critical spectral balance providing Hi-Fidelity performance even at maximum SPL output. The highs are handled by a 1-inch throat, 1.75-inch voice coil compression driver with a non-resonant polyester diaphragm and a high energy neodymium magnet, offering a sweet, extended high end with extreme performance. Custom mid-frequency and high-frequency horns with 90 degrees horizontal coverage and an asymmetrical vertical pattern of 10 degrees up and 30 degrees down, give the Tripower Reference optimum far throw and near field coverage.

The Reference is available in a single box system, with flyware and for mobil applications is also available as a 2-box system with a 2×12 trapezoid cabinet and a separate MID-HI pack. The Tripower Reference 2-box system has the power amplifier built in the 2×12 cabinet and power is fed to the MID-HI pack with a 4-conductor speakon cable. The MID-HI pack is less than 50 pounds making set-up and stacking easy. For the ultimate performance, add the Reference 215 cabinets and you have the stunning performance of a 5-Way full Active system. This system packs the punch that will astound your audience with both power and fidelity. The Reference 215 is a 1000 watt, active, low-mid trapezoid cabinet designed with a built in band-pass crossover network operating between 100Hz and 260Hz with 24db/octave slopes which provides that extra headroom and punch in the low mids. Not only do you have a 5-way system but you have now added an extra 2000 watts of power in the audio spectrum between the XMAX subwoofers and the Tripower Reference top boxes.

REFERENCE CONCERT SERIES 4-WAY SYSTEM. The System divides the frequency spectrum into 4 separate bands with 24db per octave crossover slopes and then amplifies each band individually to provide the highest level of performance. The XMAX Subwoofer provides 1000 watts of RMS power into a single 8-ohm woofer. The XMAX covers the lowest portion of the spectrum from 30Hz up to 100Hz. The Tripower Reference 3-way system then provides 1100 Watts of RMS power into three separate frequency bands. Two 12-inch cast basket drivers with 4-inch edgewound voice coils and Kevlar impregnated cones handle the low mids from 100Hz up to 900Hz. The upper mid-band is handled by a massive 4-inch ferrofluid cooled voice coil compression driver with embossed titanium diaphragm and covers the frequency band from 900Hz to 3KHz. Using a High SPL compression driver crossed over at 3KHZ we obtain the highest performance possible while crossing over before breakup occurs. A 1-inch throat 1.75-inch voice coil compression driver with a non-resonant polyester diaphragm and a high-energy neodymium magnet handles the High Band portion of the spectrum. This ensures an extended sweet high end with extreme performance. A separate discreet D_CAT amplifier section, available exclusively from ISP Technologies, powers each band and provides high current, low distortion audiophile performance.

REFERENCE CONCERT SERIES 5-WAY SYSTEM. For those who demand the best level of performance and fidelity, we offer the Concert Series 5-way system. The 5-way system includes two Reference 215 cabinets, each with dual 15-inch woofers configured for low-mid band performance. The Reference 215 comes with two 4-inch voice coil high performance 15 inch woofers and a built in 1000 Watt RMS D-CAT amplifier. This high performance low-mid box also includes built in 24db per octave crossovers allowing you to simply insert the Reference 215 between the XMAX subwoofer output and the Tripower Reference input.

The Reference 215 handles the frequency band from 100Hz to 260Hz providing incredible warmth and an amazing increase in transient response. By adding an extra 2000 Watts RMS in this critical low-mid band, the system offers an unparalleled level of performance.

The Tripower Reference mid-high horn pack is also available in a 60° horn flare allowing tight pack arraying for very large venues where higher SPL and multiple stacks are required. For the absolute highest performance system, order the Tripower Reference 2X Mid-High horn pack, which includes 2 neodymium HF drivers in the high band from 3KHz to 20KHz. No matter what level of performance you need we’ve got you covered with no-compromise fidelity. The connection diagram shows just how easy the 5-way Concert Series System is to set up. Now you can have high fidelity sound with an absolute minimum of set up time. It’s as simple as this: connect the main output from your mixer to the input of the XMAX subwoofer, connect the high pass output of the XMAX subwoofer to the input of the Reference 215 cabinet, connect the high pass output of the Reference 215 cabinet to the input of the Tripower Reference top box and you’re ready to rock. With 6200 Watts of combined power in a 2-stack setup with long throw projection, this system will bring concert level performance to any medium size venue.
